Privacy
Your work stays yours.
Pixph is designed around a local file, not an account. It does not run analytics or upload your notes. License checks go directly to the store that issued your key.
Local by default
Your notes, projects, sections, and attachment references are stored on your Mac.
No tracking
Pixph includes no product analytics or telemetry.
Your storage choice
You can move the library file to another folder, including a synced folder you choose.
Updates on your terms
When you check for updates, Pixph looks to pixph.com for the latest version.
License activation
When you activate Pixph, the license key is sent directly to Gumroad over an encrypted connection to confirm that it belongs to Pixph and has not been refunded or revoked. Pixph repeats this check periodically and keeps a 30-day offline allowance after a successful check. Gumroad necessarily receives ordinary network information such as your IP address. Pixph does not send your notes, projects, attachments, captures, or usage data with the request.
Accessibility permission
Pixph asks for Accessibility access so it can read the text currently selected in the frontmost app and listen for the double-Shift capture gesture. The selection is read when you trigger capture; it is not continuously recorded or sent to Pixph.
Attachments and exports
Attachments are copied into Pixph’s local attachments folder. Markdown exports and copied lists are created on your Mac and go only to the location or clipboard action you choose.
Software updates
Automatic update checks are disabled initially. If you enable them, or choose Check for Updates, Pixph checks pixph.com and downloads a new version when one is available.
