Pixph is a keyboard-first capture panel for macOS. It gives selected text, quick notes, and supporting files one calm place to land, then helps you organize and copy them back into the work in front of you.

Pixph is useful whenever your work moves through several apps: researching, writing, planning, coding, managing projects, or collecting customer context. It reduces the small detours that turn useful snippets into scattered tabs, temporary documents, and forgotten clipboard items.

It borrows the most useful part of each. Pixph is intentionally smaller than a full writing app and more deliberate than a background clipboard history: you choose what to capture, decide where it belongs, and move it forward when it becomes useful.

Select text in the app in front and press Shift twice. Pixph saves the selection to your active section with its source context. You can also use the customizable Capture Selection shortcut when that better fits your keyboard habits.

Pixph works with most Mac apps that allow selected text to be copied. It first reads the selection through macOS Accessibility; when an app does not expose it there, Pixph uses a brief copy-and-restore fallback so your existing clipboard is preserved.

No. Capture is designed to happen while your attention stays in the current app. Pixph can remain out of the way after saving, or you can enable the option to bring its panel forward whenever a capture lands.

Yes. Pixph lets you record global shortcuts for showing the panel, capturing a selection, adding a note, and copying selected notes as a list. You can also turn double-Shift capture on or off and tune the time between presses.

Projects separate larger contexts such as clients, products, or areas of life. Sections create a lighter structure inside each project for stages, topics, or lists. Both can be switched and reordered from the keyboard, so your capture habit can stay fast as your library grows.

Yes. Open the composer from anywhere with the global Add a Note shortcut, or write directly in the panel. Starting with # and a section name can create or route the note to that section in the same step.

Yes. You can keep images and other files attached to the note they support. Pixph copies them into its managed local attachments folder, where you can open them or reveal them in Finder whenever you need the original material.

Copy one note, select several notes and copy them as a plain, dashed, or numbered list, or merge related items before copying. Pixph can preserve Markdown formatting, and fast search helps you find the right note or attachment by name.

Your projects, sections, and notes live in a local JSON library file on your Mac. Attachments live in a managed folder beside it. Pixph shows you the location in Settings and lets you move the library when you want a different home for it.

No. Pixph has no account system and no built-in cloud sync. If you want your library in a synced folder, you can choose one yourself without handing ownership of the data to Pixph.

No. Pixph includes no product analytics or telemetry. License verification goes directly to Gumroad and never includes your notes, captures, projects, or attachments; update checks only ask pixph.com whether a newer version exists.

Yes. You can copy individual notes or lists whenever you like and export the full library as Markdown. The export includes relative references to attachments, keeping your content useful outside Pixph.

Pixph is $9.99 as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, and updates are included.

Pixph requires macOS 26 or later. It also asks for Accessibility access so it can read the text you select and recognize the double-Shift gesture; that permission is not used to record activity or send content anywhere.

Download and open the ZIP, move Pixph.app to Applications, then enter the license key from your purchase receipt. Grant Accessibility access when prompted and your capture shortcuts are ready to use.

Every purchase includes a 30-day no-questions refund. If a license later becomes inactive, existing notes remain available to read, copy, and export, so your work is never deleted with the license state.

You can check for updates manually in Settings or opt into automatic checks. Automatic checks are off initially, and Pixph only downloads a new version when one is available from pixph.com.
